Chrome Enterprise Policy Commands

It's possible to use Chrome enterprise policies, export them as a registry key file, and apply them using JumpCloud commands to desired systems or system groups. The procedure in this KB article should be performed alongside Set Chrome policies for users or browsers.

1. Download the Chrome policy templates.
2.  On a system with Chrome installed as local admin, copy the configuration\admx files and the language en-US folders to the local directory – C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\.
3. Click Start > Run > gpedit.msc. . You can now set the desired settings for further info on each policy and open the policy and read the help field.

In this example, fullscreen mode and Chrome password manager are disabled.

4. After the settings have been set in local group policy, open the Windows registry and export the following hive to a .reg file.

5. Build a command in JumpCloud and attach the exported reg keys.

6. Run and bind the command to a system or group policy. Verify this this by going to the URL, chrome://policy on the system.

7. You can also use another strategy to force Chrome users to sign in and control Chrome policy via Google’s cloud-based policies. You can control this with the following device/machine based policy, then when the user logs in to the corresponding Chrome login, you can apply the desired policies.
