You can create a device group and add devices to it to manage your fleet by device type, OS version, geography, and so on. Applying a policy to a device group enforces rules for every device that belongs to the group.

Creating a Device Group
To create a device group:
- Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal.
- Go to DEVICE MANAGEMENT > Device Groups.
- Click ( + ) to add a new device group.
- Enter the device group Name.
- (Optional) Enter a short Description of the group’s purpose.
- Click save.
Adding Devices to a Device Group
To add devices to a device group:
- Log in to the JumpCloud Admin Portal.
- Go to DEVICE MANAGEMENT > Device Groups.
- Select the device group from the Device Groups list.
- Select the Devices tab.
- Select the checkbox next to each device that will belong to this group.
- Click save.
